Diamond Freight in the Press

Diamond Freight's tribute to war veterans

Diamond Freight named it's newest arrival in January 2017. As with all of the vehicles that came before the new Scania, it was adorned with the crest and silhouette of a HMS Royal Naval war ship.

The newest member of the fleet was the HMS Coventry, as a tribute to all of the veterans who served on the Type-42 destroyer and those who lost their lives serving on the HMS Coventry, when the destroyer was sunk after 3 direct hits from an Argentine A4-Skyhawk, to the north-west of the Falkland Sound.

Commodore Jamie Miller CBE RN reveals the HMS Ark Royal

In October 2016 Diamond Freight unveiled its newest member of the fleet, the HMS Ark Royal. The Ark Royal was dedicated to commodore Jamie Miller CBE RN and to celebrate his career within the Royal Naval Service. Commodore Miller was awarded his CBE (Commander of the most excellent order of the British Empire) by the Queen for his role as the Naval Regional Commander Wales & Western England.

Commodore Jamie Miller also survived the sinking of the HMS Coventry on the night of the 25th may 1982. He was 29 at the time. Read his recollection of the night HERE.
